Road surface repair works will be carried out on the M5 Motorway in the proximity of Örkény between 16th October and 6th November 2024 in the direction of Szeged between chainage 52 and 54. During the road surface repair works, traffic will be diverted at the technical crossings between chainage 49 and 57. AKA Ltd. kindly asks road users to exercise patience due to the traffic restrictions caused by the repairs.
During the road surface repair works on the M5 Motorway the traffic in the direction of Szeged between chainage 49 and 57 will be temporarily diverted into the fast lane and into the fast lane of the opposite side. The traffic in the direction of Szeged between chainage 55 and 57 will be diverted partially into the slow lane and the emergency lane, and later with the progression of the repair works travelers can use the fast lane. During the traffic restriction, travelers in the direction of Szeged can leave the motorway at the Örkény interchange in case if they drive in the diversion of Szeged. During the works entering and leaving the interchange will be possible. The restrictions will also affect the motorway in the direction of Budapest, where the traffic will be temporarily diverted into the slow lane and the emergency lane.
Speed limits of 60 and 80 km/h are to be expected within the aforementioned section.
The repair works are expected to be completed by 6th November 2024.
