Road surface repair works will be carried out on the M5 Motorway in the proximity of Kecskemét between 7th September and 19th October 2023 in the direction of Budapest between chainage 80 and 82. During the road surface repair works, traffic will be diverted at the technical crossings between chainage 77 and 84. AKA Ltd. kindly asks road users to exercise patience due to the traffic restrictions caused by the repairs.
During the first phase of the road surface repair and bridge repair works – between 7th September 2023 and 30th September 2023 – on the M5 Motorway the traffic between chainage 77 and 84 km in the direction of Budapest will be diverted into the fast lane and the fast lane of the opposite side. The slow lane and the emergency lane between chainage 80 and 84 km will be closed. The traffic in the direction of Budapest between chainage 78 and 80 will once again be diverted into the slow lane and emergency lane with closing the fast lane. The repair works will also affect traffic in the direction of Szeged, where the traffic will be temporarily diverted into the slow lane and the emergency lane.
In the second phase of the works – between 30th September and 19th October 2023 – on the M5 Motorway the traffic between chainage 77 and 84 km in the direction of Budapest will be diverted into the emergency lane and the fast lane of the opposite side with closing the fast lane and partially the slow lane between chainage 80 and 82 km. The repair works will continue to affect traffic in the direction of Szeged, where the traffic will be temporarily diverted into the slow lane and the emergency lane.
The repair works will not affect any interchanges and are expected to be completed by 19th October 2023. Speed limits of 60 km/h and 80 km/h are to be expected within the aforementioned section.

AKA Ltd. asks travelers to drive more carefully, keeping the speed limit on the M5 Motorway. Unforeseeable events may result in changes to the aforementioned schedule. AKA Ltd. reserves the right to modify the schedule of the maintenance works.
