Road surface repair works will be carried out on the M5 Motorway at Lajosmizse interchange and rest area located near chainage 68 between 3rd October and 12th November 2024 in the direction of Budapest. During certain phases of the road surface repair works the closure of interchange ramps and the rest area is to be expected. AKA Ltd. kindly asks road users to exercise patience due to the traffic restrictions caused by the repairs.
Between 3rd October and 14th October 2024
• The petrol station, the rest area and the restaurant will remain accessible for travelers leaving the motorway.
• Entering the motorway from Lajosmizse and Cegléd in the direction of Budapest will not be possible.
• Entering the motorway in the direction of Budapest at the Kecskemét north interchange will be possible.
Between 14th and 19th October 2024
• The petrol station will be accessible for travelers.
• The rest area and the restaurant will not be accessible for travelers.
Between 21st October and 12th November 2024
• The Lajosmizse interchange and rest area will be fully closed, hence leaving and entering the motorway will not be possible.
• Entering the M5 Motorway in the direction of Budapest will be possible via detour routes at the Kecskemét north or Örkény interchanges.
Temporarily installed yellow signs guide travelers on the motorway.
A speed limit is to be expected within the aforementioned section. The repair works are expected to be completed by 12th November 2024.
Information about current traffic restrictions and diversions will be continuously provided by Útinform on their website www.utinform.hu, and by AKA Ltd. on their website www.aka.hu as well as the operator – A-WAY Ltd.
AKA Ltd. asks travelers to drive more carefully and pay attention to colleagues working in the diversion, keeping the speed limit on the M5 Motorway. Unforeseeable events may result in changes to the aforementioned schedule. AKA Ltd. reserves the right to modify the schedule of the maintenance works.
